La nueva criminalización del proxenetismo

Abstract

With the recent reform of penal code, the Spanish Legislature addresses again the pimp in order to criminalize the intervention in prostitution when dependence or labor exploitation is involved. This new version of article 188.1 in fine is an attempt to correct the application and interpretation problems that the current law has. It also attemps to address the new types of abusive sexual exploitation. In this dissertation we’ll analyse the new law from a critic point of view. We’ll analyse it’s sense and reach and we’ll also evaluate the model of prostitution management designed by the legislator.
