Abstract

The need to increase the level of security of the society has led to Criminal Law to consider the best legal response against the habitual offender. This paper examines the possibility of using a system that imposes additional punishment or security measures. It will consider the constitutionality and the merits of these options to reach a conclusion on the advisability of its adoption.
